Victim assaulted during robbery on Monroe Street

Police responded to a robbery at 700 Monroe Street around 1 a.m.

Officials said the victim was assaulted and had her purse taken during the robbery. An undetermined amount of money was also taken.

No arrests were made.

Two arrests were made after thieves hit a Huntsville convenience store.

Police caught a man and a juvenile breaking in to the Lincoln Mini Mart on Washington Street. It's the same store hit by thieves back in August.

Torrod Outlen faces burglary charges, and so does a 14-year-old boy.

Because he's a juvenile, police aren't releasing his name.

The Huntsville Police Department's DUI Traffic Task Force will target drunk drivers over the holidays.

Their message: Drive sober, or get pulled over.

Officers will set up checkpoints across the city.

  • Oakwood Avenue at Pulaski Pike
  • South Memorial Parkway at Meadowbrook Drive
  • Sparkman Drive at North Memorial Parkway.

Huntsville Police are searching for a rapist.

The attack happened early Thursday morning on Blake Bottom Road.

The victim told police she was asleep on the couch when the man woke her up around 4:45.

Medical personnel treated the victim for her injuries.

No word on a description of the suspect.

(CNN) - A medicine manufacturer is recalling a batch of Motrin pain relievers, which were distributed mostly to the U.S. and the Caribbean.

Johnson & Johnson said Wednesday it is pulling batches of Motrin coated caplets from stores because "testing of product samples showed that some caplets may not dissolve as quickly as intended when nearing their expiration date."

The products being recalled were distributed in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Fiji, Belize, St.
