Due to the winter weather last week, the tree trimming work on Governors Drive will continue through Wednesday, February 16th.

Huntsville Utilities' tree contractor crews will be clearing trees from power lines.

Huntsville's brightest company trivia competition

Impact Alabama is announcing Huntsville's Brightest Company Trivia Competition. This is a charitable, fundraising event that invites companies to sponsor teams to benefit nonprofit agencies that are chosen by the companies.

Each team has a chance to win up to $20,000, and the winnings will be directed to the Alabama nonprofits named by the companies.

Granddad bandit pleaded guilty

Granddad bandit pleaded guilty

The granddad bandit has pleaded guilty to bank robberies in 15 states.  One of those robberies was here in Huntsville. 

Michael Mara confessed to robbing the Compass Bank on Governors Drive last February. 

Federal agents arrested him in August at his home in Baton Rouge. Mara faces 25 years in prison.  His sentencing is set for May 11th.
