In intaglio printing, an image is created when ink is transferred from the grooves of a plate onto the surface of the paper with a press. Learn the fundamentals of intaglio by creating your own print start-to-finish, from preparing the plate and engraving the image to inking, wiping and printing. Wednesday, February 22nd - Collograph Workshops
6-9 PM, $40 Members or $50 Non-members
Let instructor Jillian Gibson lead you on a journey into the land of collography! Create abstract, highly-textured, multicolored prints by combining relief techniques with collage on woodblock. Thursday, February 23rd - Intro to Screenprint: Photo Emulson Method
6-9 PM, $45 Members, $55 Non-members

Written, produced and enacted by members and friends of GLBT Advocacy and Youth Services the play addresses contemporary lifestyles and is recommended for mature audiences . A portion of profits will go to the GLBT Advocacy and Youth Services. Located at The Flying Monkey Theatre on the second floor of Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment.
Friday, February 24th - Green Pea Press One Year Anniversary Celebration!
6 - 8 PM, Free
Our 1-year Anniversary Celebration is to be held this Friday, Feb. 24 from 6-8pm in and around the Green Pea Press studio.
There will be delectable homemade treats including carrot-apple-ginger cupcakes; delightful music by the talented Patrick Bakula; a raffle for a letterpress calendar and other goodies; a t-shirt printing station, "Pie-Distributing Contest", and we will have the letterpress set up so attendees can print keepsakes! All exhibits on the 1st floor will be open, which include the GPP group show, David Reimer's storybook prints, and Amos Kennedy's poster show in the main gallery. We will also have a donation station with rewards for donors. The event is free and open to the public. Hope you can make it!!

Saturday, February 25th - Artist Market
12-4 PM, Free
Local artists and others are invited to set up a booth at the Flying Monkey Arts Center and sell their wares to the public. There will be locally crafted art, jewelry, vintage clothing, records, and more interesting things for sale inside our facility - safe from rain. Located at the Flying Monkey Arts Center on the second floor of Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment.
Saturday, February 25th - Art of Giving Painting Party
3-5 PM, $35 Admission
That’s what you call it when you and some friends get together to paint! We supply everything you need, just wear comfy painting clothes. Enjoy delicious hot chocolate, coffee or tea while you paint either an 11×14 or 16 x 20 canvas that you’ll be proud to hang on your wall. (or give as a gift!) 15% of the proceeds from these workshops goes to a local charity. If you have a non-profit you would like us to help out, please use the contact form to get in touch. Chip Gulbro and Friends perform jazz standards. They were voted the best jazz band/artist by Valley Planet in 2011. Que Rico is Chip's band plus tenor sax and two percussionists that add latin and salsa grooves. Monday, February 27th - Advanced Bookmaking: Pamphlets III
6- 9 PM, $50 members or $60 non-members
This class will cover the construction of multi-functional pamphlet books and expand upon the skills and methods learned in the previous pamphlet book classes, including construction of flaps and pockets and expanded paper embellishments. Students will leave with 2 pocket folder pamphlet notebooks. Located at Green Pea Press, Studio # 122, Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment .
