Five Huntsville businesses recognized for air pollution control efforts
The city of Huntsville awarded a number of local businesses air pollution control achievement awards during a ceremony Thursday.
Five companies were acknowledged for contributions.
ADTRAN, Boeing, Huntsville Hospital, National Copper & Smelting and Saint Gobain Industrial Ceramics were recognized for emission reduction.
Boeing was recognized also for air quality education, and ADTRAN was also awarded the Clay Durrett Air Quality Stewardship Award.
The Air Pollution Control Achievement awards were established in 1997 to recognize companies’ efforts to reduce air pollutants.
