Have a blast at the 4th Annual Shrimp Blast | Community Spirit
The Von Braun Center will be hosting the Fourth Annual Shrimp Blast on September 7 in the South Hall.
This seafood festival, presented by Landers McLarty Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep, Landers McLarty Nissan and Mercedes-Benz of Huntsville, will start at 3 p.m. and last until 10 p.m. This event has free admission, free parking in the South Hall garage, and free kids’ activities!
Judge Talford Band will entertain audiences with harmony, soul and acoustic picking. The Jeff Whitlow and the Old Barn Band will follow with tunes from old country music greats.
All sorts of seafood will be available for purchase, including shrimp (boiled, fried, and more), snow crab legs, crab claws and seafood gumbo. Beer will be $3, and burgers, chicken fingers, and more will be available for the non-seafood lovers in the crowd.
Kids can get their faces painted by Gabrielle’s Facepainting and can play on the inflatables from Jump To It, Inc. Kids can also get free ice cream and their own balloon animal made from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. while parents enter for a chance to win tickets to Sesame Street Live and Huntsville Havoc.
