Stem and Stein talks Rocket City Brewfest | Community Spirit

The Stem & Stein is a wine cellar, bar and cafe in Madison, Alabama located on County Line Road.

They don't offer liquor, but they do have some of the best wines and beer, including high gravity, around.

I stopped by to talk with the store managers and sisters, Ali Petty and Jessica Petty.  They tell me that that Stem and Stein is excited to be part of Rocket City Brewfest.

Rocket City Brewfest is a craft beer festival in Huntsville May 11 - 12th. They have local breweries from across the South and all of the North Alabama Breweries are involved.

To get tickets to RCB, you can go online or to a store like Stem and Stein.  All money raised will go to Free the Hops, a grassroots, non-profit organization whose mission is to help bring the highest quality beers in the world to Alabama.

Jessica told me that Free the Hops helped keep Stem and Stein in business. Stem and Stein is unique in that it promotes its local breweries.  I think it's great that you can taste and try something new then grab that brand on the way home.

They have a great menu that pairs well with beers and wine.  They also have wine tastings every Thursday night.  They usually have live entertainment on the weekend as well.  They also do beer tastings on the first Friday of each month.

So what will Stem and Stein be bringing to RCB?  They said they are bringing the Steinwich, Cheese Dip, and a dessert.
