Students collect pet food for no kill shelter
In an effort to give back to their community, students at Sparkman Middle School made it their mission to collect dog and cat food to be donated to the Ark of Madison County.
Ark is a non-profit, “no kill” animal shelter that operates solely on donations and fundraisers and receives no city, county, state or federal funding.
The service project for felines and canines lasted nine days, and was called 9 for 9’s.
More than 400 pounds of food for their furry friends were donated.
