Challenger students collect items for kids affected by Sandy | Community Spirit

Three weeks after Superstorm Sandy, Challenger Middle School stepped up to help out.

The school's Student Government Association heard about students in Staten Island whose parents lost everything, and they began collecting personal items to send to kids at PS 38.

Tuesday, students boxed up the items and shipped them off to New York.
