Case dismissed against former officer | Crime

Charges are dropped against a former Huntsville Police Officer accused of illegal weapons possession. Wesley Little was preparing for a retrial when the case was dismissed.

 A Madison County jury convicted Little back in 2009. That case was overturned on appeal because the judge incorrectly instructed jurors before deliberations. This spring prosecutors asked the court to dismiss this case. A judge granted that request this week. Court records show the case was dismissed with conditions. We are working to find out the specifics about the conditions. Little's attorney, Bruce Gardner, tells WAFF 48 his client will not try to get his job back at HPD.
