Court documents state abused child had skull fractures | Crime

Court documents filed in Madison County District Court state a Huntsville child was beaten with a belt and a wooden paddle.

Huntsville Police arrested the boyfriend of the boy's mother. Arnold Donta Hines is charged with aggravated child abuse.

The complaint filed in this case also states the boy had cuts, bruises, skull fractures, a lacerated liver and cerebral hematomas.

Police say Hines beat the child because the boy made a bad grade at school.

Hines will be in court November 7th.
