Huntsville man charged with cab robbery | Crime

Huntsville Police have arrested and charged a 17 year old with robbery.

Investigators say Dominick Lewis Everson held up a cab driver who picked him up Tuesday morning. According to the police report filed Tuesday, the cab driver picked up a man on Fairway Drive just before 6:00 a.m.. The man ordered the cab driver to take him around the corner - to Parklane Drive and Perkins Place.

The man stole her fare money, then  put a gun to the cabbie's head, and told her to get out of the car. The woman panicked, hit the gas and drove off. The robber fired a shot at her as the sped away. The shot hit the woman's headset, but missed her head.

Everson is being charged as an adult.
