When registration begins June 13th for fundamental and pee wee Lady Bulldog camps, organizers at Alabama A&M University will be chiefly interested in making sure participants are having a good time in a good environment, as well as improving their individual skills.
Registration will begin Monday, June 13, for the 2011 Lady Bulldog Basketball Camps, starting at 7:30 a.m. in the T.M. Elmore Building. Designed for girls and boys entering grades 5-12, the "Fundamental Camp" will feature good player-coach ratio, camp gifts, a Fabulous Fundamentals Factory, position work (shooting, guard play, post play), station work (defense, ball handling), and 5-on-5 league games.
Similarly, the "Pee Wee Camp" for 6-10-year-old boys and girls offers games and contests, basketball fundamentals, passing, dribbling, shooting and defense.
The fundamentals camp is $100 and runs from June 13-17, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The pee wee camp is $75 per participant and runs from June 13-17, 8 a.m.-12 noon. Participants have the option of dining on campus or bring their own lunch.
