Humpty Dumpty's Eggstravaganza at Burritt on the Mountain

Humpty Dumpty's Eggstravaganza at Burritt on the Mountain

Meet all of Humpty Dumpty's friends and play Burritt on the Mountain's life-size The Whimsical Woods game to explore spring surprises in the park.

They will have traditional Easter eggs, so bring an Easter basket. However, instead of a typical egg hunt, you will collect eggs and treats from friendly characters as you wind your way through their Whimsical Woods.

There will also be face painting, balloon animals, and interactive puppet shows in the park.

Visit Burritt on the Mountain on March 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are included in general admission. Burritt members and children 2 years and under are free.

For more information, call 256-536-2882 or visit www.burrittonthemountain.com.

Tennessee Valley Civil War Round Table – Second Annual Photo Contest

Tennessee Valley Civil War Round Table – Second Annual Photo Contest

The Tennessee Valley Civil War Round Table is proud to announce its second annual photo contest!  150 years ago, Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley experienced the depredations and horrors of Civil War.  For four years, armies both Blue and Gray, occupied and marched through the towns and farms of North Alabama.  They clashed in scores of engagements, both large and small, from Bridgeport to Muscle Shoals.  Men from North Alabama joined regiments and marched away to fight in far-flung battles from Mississippi to Pennsylvania.  To both inform and educate a new generation of Americans on the significance of the American Civil War 1861-1865, and political development of the United States, we are proud to host this contest.
