Free immunizations still available for Madison County students

There is still time for Madison County students to be immunized at no cost to parents before next Monday, August 15, when schools begin.

All children entering school for the first time must have a current Blue Card. Students entering 6th grade or higher must have a current Blue Card including a TDaP vaccination after the 10th birthday.

The Madison County Health Department will hold Special Immunization Clinics for all school age children who need an updated “Blue Card” for school entry. This will include, but is not limited to, all children entering daycare or kindergarten/1st grade, all children between the ages of 11 - 14and all children entering 6th grade who are 10 and over.

The immunization clinics will be held at the Madison County Health Department, 301 Max Luther Drive, Huntsville, AL, 35811
Week of August 8–12, each day from 8:30 - 11 a.m. and 1 - 4p.m.

Clinics have already been held on the week of August 1st to assist with Madison and Huntsville City students who began school this Monday, August 8.

Any student is welcome. All children must be accompanied by a parent.
