A team of local lady runners are motivated to raise money for the American Cancer Society and participate in the largest relay in the United States, Hood to Coast. Each have been affected by cancer in some way and are determined to give back and make a difference by using their talents and doing what each of them love…running.
The goal of the Dixie Daredevils is to raise $15,000 by August of this year. This will allow them entry into the 2012 Hood to Coast Race. The 197 mile Relay takes place every year in Portland, OR. During the next year, you will see the Dixie Daredevils not only raising money for the cause but being active volunteers in the local community to bring awareness to cancer and promote a fun, healthy lifestyle through running.
