Title (Max 100 Characters)
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- The much anticipated adaptation of the popular book, "The Hunger Games" hit theatres across the country Thursday night at midnight.
A 7th grader at Whitesburg Christian Academy was an extra in the film. All of his friends can't believe they're friends with someone on the big screen.
The movie is set in a post-apocalyptic world where children are made to fight to the death in a televised event. That left some wondering if the movie's PG-13 rating is suitable.
13-year-old Bradley Posey, who played as an extra in the movie, and his friends all think the rating fits well with the movie.
So far the movie is receiving good reviews and according to Posey's mother he has a chance to appear in the sequels.
Food stylist and 1978 University of North Alabama alumnus Jack White and his assistant, James Perini, a UNA senior, were behind the on-screen food for "The Hunger Games" movie.
White and Perini will discuss their work on "The Hunger Games" at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library March 29th at 5:30 p.m.
