Congressman Brooks holds congressional hearing on STEM program | News
MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF)- Congressman Mo Brooks held a congressional hearing on efforts to improve science and math education in Alabama.
Brooks, chairman of the subcommittee on research and science education, held the hearing to highlight local science, technology, engineering and mathematics or STEM, education programs.
It was a way to examine their impact on the next generation of professionals.
"Well it seemed like the number one concern amongst the panelist was to open better fields of communication between industry and our education institutions on the other so that education knows what it needs to teach to our youth so that they are better trained to get a job," said Brooks.
The hearing was made up of a panel of school leaders and local businesses.
