Three local colleges receiving grant money | News
The U.S. Department of Education is awarding grant money to Historically Black Colleges and Universities in 19 States, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Three North Alabama schools are on the list. The include Alabama A&M University, Oakwood University, and J.F. Drake State Technical College.
The grant money may be used for things like curriculum reform, improving campus facilities, and purchase of laboratory equipment.
