Kids get healthy for Annie Apple Get Active Day | News

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- Kids in Hampton Cove had a healthy, good time
at the Annie Apple Get Active Day.

Children in the area ran, rode bikes and did
yoga at the Hampton Cove Greenway.

The event was part of the Junior League's
biggest fundraiser. They're taking donations to buy 30,000 apples to give
students throughout Madison County.

"We're trying to get kids active in the
community. Hopefully, getting them involved in something like this at a young
age will increase the likelihood of them staying involved in activities and
healthy lifestyle choices in the future," said Emily Johnson with the Junior
League of Huntsville.

Donations will be accepted through October 5.
