Trial date set for case involving dance studio | News
A Madison County Judge has set a trial date of March 3, 2013 for a civil lawsuit involving a Huntsville dance studio.
Neighbors with property near Ann Brown's dance studio, on Whitesburg Drive, want the court to shut down the studio. The lawsuit alleges Brown's studio violates rules of the neighborhood.
Court documents also state people attending classes at the studio block driveways, making it difficult for emergency vehicles to get through.
Ann Brown's daughter Lee Ann Brown Bender is also named in the lawsuit. She has filed a motion asking to be dismissed from the case. That motion states Bender is an employee, not an owner. A judge will hear arguments for that motion on October 24th.
Back in May, Ann Brown pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct charges.
She is accused of threatening a nearby business owner after the owner called to have cars towed from a parking lot. Those cars belonged to students with Brown's studio.
