Volunteers serve food for several need families in Huntsville Sunday.

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- A Huntsville woman brought an early Thanksgiving to those who may not have one otherwise.

Gina Williams and a group of volunteers set up on the corner of Clinton Ave. and Indiana St. Sunday.

They gave out plates of food, blankets, shoes, and clothing to the area's homeless and in need. They also provided free haircuts and gospel music to the crowd.

Several turkeys were also given out to lucky families. The whole thing was made possible thanks to donations from the community.

"At first I was going to cancel, but when the phone started ringing and I started answering more calls and more contributions start coming in, I just felt so positive and good about it, that I said it must go on. That is why we are here today to give back because everyone needs a loved one during the holiday season," Gina Williams.

Williams said she plans to hold similar ones and help those in need as much as possible.
