Man found murdered inside Huntsville home identified | News

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- Huntsville Police are investigating a murder at 3810 Bob Wallace Avenue.

Around noon Wednesday, family members discovered the body of a 69 year-old William Floyd Ivy dead in his home.

People who live nearby said he lived there a long time.

Police responded to the scene and determined it to be a homicide.

Evidence was collected at the scene, and Ivy's body was transported to the forensics lab in Huntsville for an autopsy.

Officials said they are in the early stages of the investigation.

Police aren't saying much about this investigation yet, but neighbors have some theories.

Neighbors believe he was murdered in the course of a robber at his home.

No official cause of death has been released.
