3 people escape Huntsville house fire | News

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- A house fire in south Huntsville forced three people out of their home Wednesday morning.
It started just after 8 a.m. at a house on Algerita Drive near Alhambra Drive. Four trucks responded to the fire.
Fire investigators said the fire started in the kitchen. Two people were inside, but were able to get out of the home safe.
The fire was limited to the kitchen but smoke permeated the house. The home sustained moderate smoke and water damage. The residents' Christmas presents inside were safe.
Red Cross is also responding to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
