Man dies in single car wreck | News
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- One man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Bankhead Parkway Friday afternoon.
Police responded to Bankhead Parkway near Oak Park Drive around 11:50 a.m. when residents called in the crash.
A blue 2008 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by 27-year-old Matthew Allen Michael, of Huntsville, left the roadway on the southbound side of Bankhead Parkway and struck a tree. Then it crossed the northbound lanes and hit a tree on the north side of the road.
Michael was taken to Huntsville Hospital where he died shortly after arriving.
Police say toxicology tests are pending.
