Fourteen elementary schools will offer a new Pre-K program, starting in January. The classes will be made available to those students who have been identified as most at risk academically. Registration will be Tuesday, December 6, and Wednesday, December 7.
Parents can go to one of the fourteen school sites or the central office to fill out a registration form. Classes are limited, and students will be selected based on those who have the greatest need. Registration will close at the end of the day on Wednesday, and parents whose students are selected will be notified on Friday, December 9.
Students must have turned four years old by September 1, 2011, or have turned five after September 1, 2011, and must reside in the district school attendance zone. Parents will need to provide 3 proofs of residence, a copy of the child’s birth certificate, and social security card.
An open house for the new program will be held on Tuesda
